The Editor's Desk

Welcome to the inaugural edition of
EII Connections!

In addition to bringing you information about hot topics in the PM industry (and related industries), this monthly newsletter will keep you informed of the latest published works of EII Publications as well as those works that are Under Development and when you can expect to see them available for purchase through our online Store.

EII Publications is a niche publisher in project management and related areas. Our goal is to provide short readable documents on focused topics. You won’t have to read a 300 page tome to get 30 pages of applicable materials! We have condensed our topics into shorter "how to" publications for your convenience. Many of our publications focus on topics that cannot be found in the published literature but which we find to be hot topics for the practitioner. For example, on our Just Published list this month is "Managing a Project That Involves Multiple Teams." In our consulting engagements, we find more and more clients facing these situations. The literature is silent on how to organize and manage such projects. If you face these situations, this publication is a must read for you.

Our authors are practicing professionals. Most are already well-published in their disciplines.

We will also take your suggestions for topics you would like to see published. No topic is too narrow or too broad for our associates to address. See the Suggest a Topic section for more details.

All of our publications cover timely topics. Check our Just Published and Under Development sections and see if you don’t agree! There are two categories of publications: white papers and monographs. White papers are 10-50 pages in length. Monographs are 50-125 pages in length. Both publications may be purchased through our online Store as downloadable electronic documents or as bound printed publications.

Eye on the Industry

Our associates are actively involved in the industries they service and often come across important, interesting, or trendy information that we'd like to bring to your attention.

In future newsletters, this section will focus on what's happening in corporations, associations or academic institutions across the globe. At times, we may invite one of our authors to write a column on a hot topic. At other times, we may connect you to existing articles.

SPECIAL INSERT: Book Review

There is a great deal of literature available these days. When we come across excellent resources, we like to make them available to you...so you can benefit.

In some future editions, we may provide a review on a publication that may be of interest to you. And if you've read anything recently that you feel our readers would benefit from, let us know.

SPECIAL INSERT: Reader's Comments

Often our readers have comments about our publications or useful information to share with others in the profession.

In some future editions, we may feature articles on these types of correspondence. If you would like to contribute any comments, let us know.

Please Note: Submitted comments are published at the discretion of EII Publications.
